Congratulations to violinist Chu-Yu Yang whose performance of Korngold’s Violin Concerto was awarded the top prize in the BPO Concerto Competition Final on Sunday 7 May.

The BPO Concerto Competition is held every year in conjunction with the Birmingham Conservatoire. It was founded in memory of David Ludlow, who both led and conducted the Birmingham Philharmonic in its formative years and who was a widely respected and talented violinist.
